Resources for Partners

On this page, teachers and instructional leaders in partner schools, districts and systems can access resources to support them in deepening their understanding of grade-level mathematics in connection with student thinking, language, and identity.

Download Math Milestones™ Grids

The grade-level grids have been carefully constructed to reflect the concepts, fluencies, applications, and practices of mathematics at each grade level as defined by the Standards. Across the grades, the tasks follow the progressions in each domain, surfacing key themes like the number line, properties of operations, and functional thinking. The reverse side of each grid includes Standards information for each task.

Download Task Resources Bundle

The task resources bundle includes Teacher Notes for each task as well as a student-facing version of each task. Participants will refer to the task resources in all six professional modules.

 Unbundled Task Resources

Student Handouts for each Math Milestones™ Task

Math teachers from partner schools, districts, or systems can access Student Handouts for each of the Math Milestones tasks to use in the classroom. Math Milestones tasks are not designed for summative assessment. Used formatively, the tasks can reveal and promote student thinking. For example, student work on tasks could be collected in student portfolios as students progress across the grades. Math Milestones tasks also offer a rich opportunity to engage with colleagues in professional learning grounded in the connections between grade-level content, student mathematical identity, and language supports.

Teacher Notes for each Math Milestones™ Task

Math teachers from partner schools, districts, or systems can access grade-level Teacher Notes for each of the grade-level tasks. Teacher Notes provide answers to the task, context for the mathematical concepts, relevant prior knowledge, and prompt teachers to consider the connections to their curriculum.

The Teacher Notes also include a reflection page for teachers to use prior to teaching the task in the classroom. This page prompts teachers to consider their students and possible solution paths they may see students present in their work, language considerations and supports specific to the task, and suggestions for how to extend the task for students.
