What does it mean to be a Math Milestones™ member?

As a Math Milestones™ member, your school or district will have access to resources based on Math Milestones™ tasks that were created to support instructional leaders and teachers to deepen their understanding of grade-level mathematics and to support their use of Math Milestones™ tasks in the classroom.

Access to Professional Learning Modules

Members will receive access to six professional learning modules that delve into the Math Milestones™ tasks of each grade band. The professional learning modules are grouped for grades K-2, 3-5, and 6-8.

Preview of Grades 6-8 Math Milestones™ Professional Learning

Each of the modules is 90 minutes long and includes facilitator guides and participant notes so that district instructional leaders can implement the materials themselves in a professional learning community.

Access to Teacher Notes by Task

Math teachers from your school or district will also obtain access to grade-level Teacher Notes for each of the grade-level tasks. The notes provide answers to the task, context for the mathematical concepts, relevant prior knowledge, and prompt teachers to consider the connections to their curriculum.

The Teacher Notes also include an interactive page for teachers to use prior to teaching the task in the classroom. This page prompts teachers to consider their students and possible solution paths they may see students present in their work, language considerations and supports specific to the task, and suggestions for how to extend the task for students.

Access to Student Handouts by Task

As a Math Milestone member, math teachers from your school or district will also abstain access to Student Handouts for each of the Math Milestones™ tasks to use in the classroom.
